Presentation and handling

This taught presentation uses a range of textual, visual and artefact sources from the Museum’s Collection to cover themes including weaponry, conditions, evacuation and surgery, anaesthetic and antiseptics.

This chronological session focuses on changes in medical theory and battlefield techniques from longbow and cannonball to plastic explosives. The exact start and finishing points can be tailored to suit your specific examination syllabus.
