'The Last Gun' is the story of two gunners during the North African Campaign. Suffering in the heat and dust of the desert they valiantly fire shell after shell at the advancing Germans. The artist shows the defiant gunners behind their smoking 25-pounder as they look towards the advancing Panzers.
