Runner Raises Funds for Museum’s Redevelopment

Congratulations to local resident and Museum friend Karen Davidson who took on the gruelling challenge of competing in the Army Ten-Miler, a charity run through the military district of Washington DC on 21 October 2012.

Karen was one of over 30,000 runners who paced around the Pentagon to finish in the very respectable time of 1 hour and 29 minutes. Tireless in her fundraising as well as her training, Karen has so far successfully raised a whopping £640 for the Museum’s Building for the Future project.

Karen said: “Running around the Pentagon, hearing the army bands and seeing the great turn-out of fellow runners, crowds and supporters – this has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am thrilled that I could do it to support the National Army Museum.”

Well done Karen on this fantastic achievement and thank you to everyone who has generously supported her and the Museum – there is still time to donate!
