Congratulations to local resident and Museum friend Karen Davidson who took on the gruelling challenge of competing in the Army Ten-Miler, a charity run through the military district of Washington DC on 21 October 2012.
Karen Davidson at the Army Ten-MilerKaren was one of over 30,000 runners who paced around the Pentagon to finish in the very respectable time of 1 hour and 29 minutes. Tireless in her fundraising as well as her training, Karen has so far successfully raised a whopping £640 for the Museum’s Building for the Future project.
Karen said: “Running around the Pentagon, hearing the army bands and seeing the great turn-out of fellow runners, crowds and supporters – this has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am thrilled that I could do it to support the National Army Museum.”
Well done Karen on this fantastic achievement and thank you to everyone who has generously supported her and the Museum – there is still time to donate!
