Award-winning director Steven Spielberg and the cast of War Horse, including Emily Watson, Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hiddleston, have captured our hearts as they took time out from the glitz and glamour of the film’s London premiere to commemorate forgotten war horses.

Today sees the launch of an exclusive partnership between the War Horse: Fact & Fiction exhibition and the family history website Ancestry.co.uk.
Now playing to packed theatres on both sides of the Atlantic, the National Theatre’s remarkable production of War Horse shows no signs of slowing down. In fact it’s going from strength to strength with new shows to be staged in Canada and Australia and with talks under way about a Japanese production.
The stars were out last night at the world premiere of Steven Spielberg’s War Horse, a film adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s critically-acclaimed novel.

Budding artists of all ages and abilities have been picking up their colouring pencils and exercising their imaginations as part of the National Army Museum’s War Horse: Fact & Fiction exhibition.
