Do you have a heroic horsey tale to tell? If so, now is your chance to take part in a new competition which could see your family story become part of a national exhibition!
Photographs from visitors' family historiesAncestry.co.uk and the National Army Museum have teamed up to offer an exclusive opportunity for you to share your family history and for one lucky winner to see theirs displayed in the Museum’s biggest exhibition, 'War Horse: Fact & Fiction'.
Inspired by the remarkable tales of our visitors, we’re calling for extraordinary stories revealing your family’s own wartime experiences of working with horses and mules on farms or the front line.
One story will be chosen to undergo a professional investigation from the 'War Horse: Fact & Fiction' curatorial team and then developed into a display at the National Army Museum’s exhibition, which is due to run until August 2012.
For more competition details, including how to submit your story and full terms and conditions, please visit www.ancestry.co.uk/warhorse. The deadline for entries is Friday 9 March 2012.
'War Horse: Fact & Fiction' is the latest exhibition at the National Army Museum, exploring the real-life stories which inspired the hugely popular 'War Horse' novel. It’s a free, dynamic and interactive exhibition for all the family with exciting material from Michael Morpurgo, the National Theatre and Disney.
