Bill Cheall fought at Dunkirk, North Africa, Sicily, D-Day (first wave on Gold beach) and Hamburg. He was a batman, despatch rider, cook and above all a fighter and was wounded in action but returned to fight again.

Bill's son, Paul Cheall, uses his father's recently published memoirs as the basis for this talk.
