In 1982 the Argentinian junta ordered the invasion the Falkland Islands and sparked the start of the Falklands War.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the conflict the National Army Museum has brought together leading experts and veterans of the conflict for a series of talks.

Speakers to include:

  • Major General Julian Thompson - The Amphibious Operation
  • Professor Sir Lawrence Freedman - The Falklands War: 30 Years On
  • Hugh McManners - Special Forces and the Islanders in the Winning of the Falklands War
  • Professor Klaus Dodds - The Geopolitics of 1982
  • Hugh Bicheno - Las Malvinas Son Argentinas
