Capturing a Story: Inspiring Photography

Soldier in a field bathing a baby goat, c1940

Learn how archival material can inspire your next creative project in this live virtual event.

Have you ever been inspired by a photograph? Ever wondered about the story behind it?

The National Army Museum holds thousands of photographs in its archive. This event will delve into the stories they reveal.

Join curators as they demonstrate how much can be unpacked and discovered within a photograph, and discuss how archive materials could be a catalyst for your next creative project.

This event is hosted in collaboration with Army@The Fringe, a British Army Edinburgh Fringe project. Army@The Fringe first opened its doors in August 2017 with an ambition to spark conversations about what the Army is and what it stands for in 21st-century society.
