Curator Sophie Defrance explores the books, letters and pamphlets held in the Chadwyck-Healey Liberation Collection at Cambridge University.
The Chadwyck-Healey Liberation Collection is a comprehensive set of books and pamphlets written in French on the subjects of the Second World War, the Occupation and the liberation, from 1944 to 1946.
Curator Sophie Defrance will highlight some of the treasures of the collection, particularly drawing on the voices of women.
The Second World War (1939-45) was the bloodiest conflict in human history. It split the world's nations into two opposing military alliances - the Allies and the Axis Powers.
