First World War: Sensory Session
Find out more about the First World War and its impact through a sensory session guided by our Community Engagement Team.
Gain an insight into this world-altering conflict through a combination of vivid descriptions and tactile experiences, along with sounds and smells that bring to life the stories of the Museum’s collections.
This is an opportunity to explore objects from the First World War primarily through touch and description. We welcome visitors who would particularly benefit from this approach, such as those who are blind, partially sighted or who have complex support needs.
How to attend
You're welcome to drop in at any point during the session. There's no need to book or register in advance.
If you have any questions about the sensory session, please contact the Community Engagement Team by emailing communities@nam.ac.uk. Or, if you don’t have an email address, give us a call on 020 7730 0717.
