Over the course of its long history, Sandhurst has welcomed tens of thousands of potential British Army officers through its doors. Most have embarked on military careers - some climbing to the highest ranks, a select few gaining recognition in their post-Army lives.

Vaughn Kent-Payne

Vaughan Kent-Payne served for 36 years as an infantry officer, deploying on 17 operational tours. After retiring from the Army, he worked for the Royal British Legion and, for the last nine years, for the Sandhurst Trust. His book, 'They Also Served: 200 People Who Trained at Sandhurst', was published in December 2023.
