Interred at Westminster Abbey is the body of an unknown soldier who died during the First World War. Through a series of creative writing exercises we will explore the question ‘What’s in a name?’ There will be time during the workshop to develop some verse that participants can continue to work on once the session is over.
Together, we will look at poems by Thomas Moore, John Agard, Alasdair Paterson, Isabel Palmer, Dorothy Una Radcliffe, Esther Morgan and Sujata Bhatt, as well as content from the National Army Museum’s ‘Buried Among Kings’ exhibition.
The session will be held via Zoom. We will send out the link 24 hours before the workshop takes place.
