Publication Scheme

Introduction

This Publication Scheme, issued by the National Army Museum, demonstrates the Museum’s commitment to the Freedom of Information Act with the proactive publication of information as part of normal Museum business. The Publication Scheme follows the model publication scheme approved by the Information Commissioner.

The National Army Museum is committed to identify and proactively publish information about the Museum which falls under the ICO’s classifications, together with the methods by which information can be accessed by the public, and any fees charged for access to information.

This Publication Scheme should be read together with the Museum’s Re-use of Public Sector Information Policy and Statement of Public Task, as well as the corresponding Copyright guidance.

Reproduction and fees

Information made available under this Publication Scheme on the Museum’s website can be accessed free of charge for purposes of research or private study. Where the material on this Publication Scheme is © National Army Museum, it is available for re-use under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives Licence (CC BY-NC-ND). Authorisation to otherwise reproduce material must be obtained from the copyright holder and a fee may be charged.

    Information not included in this publication scheme

    This Publication Scheme does not include:

    • Information the disclosure of which is prevented by law, or exempt under the Freedom of Information Act, or is otherwise properly considered to be protected from disclosure.
    • Information in draft form.
    • Information that is no longer readily available as it is contained in files that have been placed in archive storage, or is difficult to access for similar reasons.

    If you do not see the information that you require, please contact us. If you do not agree with the Museum’s decision to withhold information, or with the way in which your response has been handled, you are entitled to follow the Museum’s appeals and complaints procedure.

    Our annual accounts and reviews detail the Museum’s activities and show how our resources are spent.

    Council minutes

    The Council is the Museum's governing body. It meets regularly to approve strategy and oversee performance.
