Chelsea in Bloom is an annual floral art show that transforms the streets of Chelsea with breathtaking displays made of fresh flowers. Throughout the week, you'll be able to admire our very own floral sculpture displayed in front of the Museum entrance.
This year's installation is inspired by the rations issued to soldiers on the front line. Set on a bed of meadow grass, our ‘ration box’ is filled with items such as bottles of rum, tins of tea, canned Spam and that all-important Kendal Mint Cake.
The living moss and plant display is made of both dried and fresh produce and installed on a fully sustainable wooden frame. At the end of the week, all salvageable plants will be donated to Floral Angels, with the frame and the rest of the foliage sent to compost by our florist partner, Pinstripes & Peonies.
