Terms and conditions of entry

  • Sessions are not supervised or led by National Army Museum staff, children are the responsibility of the accompanying adult/s.
  • Adults are not permitted entry without an accompanying child.
  • Any child entering a session must have a valid ticket for that session.
  • Sessions are for one hour and will commence and finish at the given times.
  • For children using the equipment, the following rules apply for health and safety reasons: shoes, jewellery and badges must be removed; glasses should be removed or if worn they should have shatterproof lenses and/or a retainer; clothing should cover arms and legs; socks must be worn.
  • For adults attending the session, the following rules apply for health and safety reasons: shoes must be removed; socks must be worn.
  • Food, chewing gum and hot or carbonated drinks are not permitted in the Play Base area
  • Water can be consumed within the play base but must be contained in a plastic bottle with sports cap.
  • Intentional pushing, fighting, colliding, bullying, misuse of play equipment or any kind of behaviour, which is likely to cause injury or distress to another child or adult is not allowed.
  • Nappy changing and use of potties should be conducted in the bathroom facilities attached to Play Base.
  • All accidents and injuries must be reported to a Play Base staff member.
  • All spillages must be reported to a Play Base staff member.
  • Personal belongings are kept in the Play Base area at the owners' risk. The National Army Museum accepts no liability for misplaced or lost items.

Terms and conditions of sale

Online tickets

  • Tickets are priced at £4.75 per child, aged 1-8 years old.
  • Children under 1 year old are free of charge.
  • Adult tickets are free of charge.
  • A £1.00 booking fee applies per on-line transaction.
  • No more than four children and two adult tickets can be purchased in a single booking.
  • No more than two tickets for children under 1 year of age will be issued in a single booking.
  • There must be one adult per booking with a maximum of two free adult tickets issued per booking.
  • Online tickets will be available to purchase one week before the first session of the next calendar month.
  • Online sales for next-day sessions will close at midnight of the previous day.
  • Once a purchaser has booked a ticket/s they cannot then book again for the same session.
  • No refunds or discounts will be given for a whole or partial session not attended.
  • Tickets are non transferable and non refundable.

In venue tickets

  • Tickets purchased in venue are priced at £5.75 per child.
  • Children under 1 year old are free of charge.
  • Adult tickets are free of charge.
  • In-venue sales are available on the day, only up to start of the session, subject to availability.
  • No more than four children and two adult tickets can be purchased in a single booking.
  • No more than two tickets for children under 1 year of age will be issued in a single booking.
  • There must be one adult per booking with a maximum of two free adult tickets issued per booking.
  • Once a purchaser has booked a ticket/s they cannot then book again for the same session.
  • No refunds or discounts will be given for a whole or partial session not attended.
  • Tickets are non transferable and non refundable.

 

Play Base Loyalty Card terms and conditions

  • The loyalty card entitles the holder to one free child's ticket when you have collected nine stamps.
  • You will receive one stamp for each paid-for child's ticket presented at the Play Base session (does not apply to adult or free children's tickets).
  • Loyalty cards are valid for one year from the date of issue.
  • You must present the loyalty card to collect your stamps at the Play Base session. We will be unable to issue stamps at a later date (even when a receipt of purchase or ticket is produced).
  • NAMTL reserves the right to stop issuing loyalty cards and to withdraw the scheme at any time and on such notice that it shall deem appropriate. In such cases it will endeavour, but does not guarantee, to give reasonable notice to allow cards to be redeemed.
  • Photocopies, altered or defaced cards and/or stamps will not be accepted. We may treat as void any loyalty cards you present if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that you are in breech of these terms and conditions or your participation is fraudulent, unlawful or you have otherwise engaged in behaviour which is contrary to the spirit of the rules or the intention of this promotion.
  • To claim your free ticket you must complete the loyalty card with nine stamps and present it in the venue. Stamps from separate cards cannot be combined to redeem your free ticket and all cards must be surrendered.
  • Only one loyalty card can be redeemed per session.
  • Loyalty card stamps cannot be collected or redeemed against the Major Fun or General Hilarity birthday party packages.
  • The loyalty card cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Use of the card implies acceptance of these terms and conditions of use.
  • Loyalty cards are issued by and remain the property of NAMTL who reserve the right to (a) take any action deemed necessary if it reasonably believes you have misused the card and (b) on reasonable notice alter or amend the terms and conditions of operation of the loyalty card.
  • For the purposes of these terms and conditions, 'NAMTL' means National Army Trading Limited with the registered address, National Army Trading Limited, National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Road, London, SW3 4HT.

The National Army Museum reserves the right to:

  1. Cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances outside of its control. In these circumstances a full refund will be issued to the ticket holder.
  2. Refuse entry to Play Base if it is deemed that the ticket holder is not meeting the terms and conditions.
  3. Ask anyone, child or adult, to leave the session, if the terms and conditions or rules of Play Base are not being adhered to.
