Brothers in Arms: Virtual Tour

Join James Holland for a virtual tour of this exhibition which explores the service of the Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry in North-West Europe during the Second World War.

The Sherwood Rangers finished the Second World War with more battle honours than any other single unit in the British Army. Veterans of the North Africa campaign, they were at the forefront of the fighting from D-Day on 6 June 1944 until Victory in Europe (VE) Day in May 1945.

Discover their story in this special virtual tour with historian and author James Holland, who also curated the exhibition.

James will provide insights into what it was like to serve in a tank in the heat of battle. He will also investigate some of the personal artefacts on display and reflect on the astonishing collective spirit, camaraderie and bravery demonstrated by the remarkable men of the Sherwood Rangers.

This pre-recorded virtual tour will be available to watch on this page from 12.00pm (midday) on Thursday 10 February. It will last approximately 40 minutes.
