Soldiers need to be able to communicate across vast spaces and in unpredictable situations. Heliographs use a mirror to send signals in the form of Morse code. In clear weather conditions, these signals could be seen from miles away using a telescope.
In this workshop, you can make your very own telescope or heliograph and practise sending and interpreting messages in Morse code. You can even take it home afterwards to continue the fun!
Sessions start at 10.30am, 12pm, 2pm and 3.30pm. (2pm and 3.30pm only on 23 and 25 October.)
