RMA Sandhurst Trip

Indian Army Memorial Room at RMA Sandhurst
Join us for a members-only day trip to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Uncover the origins of the National Army Museum and view the magnificent art on display in the Indian Army Memorial Room.

Visit the world-renowned RMA Sandhurst, where Army officers have trained since 1802.

Following arrival, Dr Nicole Hartwell - the inaugural National Army Museum Research Fellow - will tell you about her research into the material culture of the British Indian Army. The talk will take place in the fitting surroundings of the Indian Army Memorial Room, with its magnificent displays of art from the National Army Museum's collections.

After that, Dr Anthony Morton - Curator of the Sandhurst Collection - will be your guide on a tour of Old College, taking in the Indian Army Memorial Room, the Chapel and the Riding School - the original site of the National Army Museum.
