Americans have been associated and drawn to Chelsea for centuries. This walking tour traces not only Americans but American connections to Chelsea, which remain forever linked in how they lived, died, and continue to be associated with the area.
From the Royal Hospital Chelsea to homes of American and American-British citizens to their final burial places, come along on this walk as we cover the hybrid existences of Americans in Chelsea.
Includes stops at: Royal Hospital Chelsea, Chelsea Physic Garden, Chelsea Old Church and St Mary’s Church of Battersea.
The tour starts at the National Army Museum and lasts around two hours.
