Weapons and Equipment: BSL Tour

Mass weapons display in the Conflict in Europe gallery
Follow expert guide Edward Richards on a British Sign Language (BSL) tour examining the weaponry, kit and equipment of the British Army.

Since its earliest days, the British Army's weapons, kit and equipment have helped to shape the course of its history and taken on special significance for the soldiers who used them.

On this guided gallery tour, Edward Richards will chart how the tools the British Army uses – from flintlock muskets to bomb disposal vehicles – have changed and developed to meet the demands of the conflicts it has engaged in and the trials faced by its soldiers.
