Can you build a helmet that will protect a soldier?

Discover helmets from across the history of the Army, and explore the materials and properties that make a great helmet.

Learners are challenged to create their own protective helmets using a range of different materials, before putting their designs to the test.

This session is 60 minutes long and includes:

  • Scientific enquiry
  • Make and Take activity
  • Group discussion
  • Team working
  • Handling original and replica objects
  • Gallery visit and related trail (optional)
