Nursery Workshops: Remarkable rations

Children taking part in a Play Base workshop at the National Army Museum
Join us in Play Base as we discover the amazing world of Army rations. Learn all about how the Army keeps its soldiers fed and how rations have changed over time.

This is an exclusive two-hour package for ten children* to experience the history of the British Army and explore Play Base, the Museum’s own soft play area.

The package includes:

  • Exclusive use of Play Base for one hour, including a 15-minute handling session led by a member of the Learning team and 45 minutes of fun-filled free play.
  • Followed by use of an adjacent private room, The Mess, for one hour to enjoy your own food and drinks before heading home to share your adventures.

This package is available from 1.00pm to 3.00pm every Tuesday and Friday during school term times.

* Please note...
  • You can bring fewer than ten children, but you will still be charged the full package rate.
  • Use the booking form to add up to five extra children (maximum 15).
  • Extra numbers will be charged at £12.50 per child.
