Curator Tour: The Art of Europe

‘Warrington Road, 1917’, by Richard Tennant Cooper, c1926

Join Anna Lavelle as she highlights some of the intriguing artworks on display in our Conflict in Europe gallery.

Artists have always been inspired by the many battles and operations the British Army has undertaken across the globe. However, its engagements in Europe have given rise to some of the most diverse and stunning depictions.

On this special guided tour, art curator Anna Lavelle will highlight some of the intriguing items on display in our new permanent gallery, Conflict in Europe.

Anna will showcase artworks ranging from Lady Butler’s paintings of the Battle of Waterloo to the First World War imagery of Richard Tennant Cooper.

The tour will last approximately one hour.
