D-Day Dance

People dressed in 1940s style dancing at the National Army Museum
Put on your dancing shoes and jive back in time to the 1940s at this special after-hours event.

Swing and jive the night away at this special after-hours dance event.

Whether you’re an absolute beginner or already know your way around the floor, our friends from SwingdanceUK will show you how it’s done. From Lindy Hop to Jitterbug, they’ll soon have you stepping out with their lessons for both new and improving dancers.

With live music from South London Jazz Orchestra and cabaret from the Diamond Girls, you’ll be shaking and shimmying to the best sounds of the ‘40s.

Hair and make-up artists Pretty Me Vintage will also be on hand (6.00pm to 9.30pm) to keep you looking the part.

6.00pm – Doors open
6.30pm – Lessons begin
7.30pm – South London Jazz Orchestra (first set)
8.15pm – DJ and Cabaret
