Remarkable Rations

Children attending a craft workshop
Travel back to the 1940s and create your own ration book in this fun, creative workshop.

Come and learn all about how soldiers and civilians lived through the Second World War.

Rationing was introduced during the war to make sure there was enough food for everybody and that everyone received their fair share. Ration books were used to keep track of what each person got, including children.

Drop in during one of our workshop sessions and create your own ration book using printing techniques and stampers.

Session times:

  • 10.30am to 12.15pm
  • 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Family drop-in activities are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

This workshop is free to attend and suitable for children aged 5+. All children participating must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
