The VCs at Kohima

A graphical composite image representing the event
Author and journalist Steve Snelling discusses the heroic actions of the men awarded Victoria Crosses after the Battle of Kohima.

Two soldiers were awarded the prestigious Victoria Cross (VC) for outstanding acts of valour performed in the presence of the enemy during the fierce fighting at Kohima in 1944.

Join Steve Snelling as he discusses the actions of Lance Corporal John Pennington Harman of The Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regiment and Captain John 'Jack' Randle of the Royal Norfolk Regiment, both of whom were awarded their VCs posthumously.

This event has been developed by the Kohima Educational Trust as part of the Kohima 80th Anniversary Weekend.
