Robert Fleming will discuss the final months of the First World War in the Middle East.

Jerusalem had fallen to General Allenby by Christmas 1917, with the Ottoman Army retreating north. Following a winter consolidation, Allenby took Jericho in February 1918. But the German Spring Offensive on the Western Front frustrated the British war effort in the Middle East as troops and attention shifted back to Europe.
