Follow this poetic timeline of the Partition of India, starting with the Indian Mutiny of 1857. You will be led through the political and social changes which took place as a result. Key figures will be introduced, such as Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. This poetry film also includes archival images. 

Accompanying the film is a poetry writing resource, which will allow students to explore their own poetry writing skills. The resource explores three main forms of poetry: epic, ekphrastic and performance poetry, all within the overarching theme of conflict.
