The Muddy Choir drama workshop

The Muddy Choir

Using source material and drama techniques, students will explore scenarios from 'The Muddy Choir' to build their own representations of soldiers in the First World War.

'The Muddy Choir' tells the story of three young soldiers serving with the Durham Light Infantry in 1917. Including traditional wartime songs, the play is about childhood friends growing up in unbearable circumstances and the humanising power of music.

'Such a moving and powerful play... Our entire group of 14-year-old boys was immediately engaged and spellbound.'
David, teacher

'Everything was brilliant... I can't stop talking about it!'
Danielle, student
